How to give good presentations at work ?

I have a few presentations to give to colleagues in the coming weeks. Any tips from you bright people of how to conduct effective presentations? Personal experience will be appreciated :) Thanks

1. I was coerced into taking a speaking course at work. I enjoyed it so much, I asked to take it again. I learned a lot and my presentations are much better. I can give you some tips I learned there that will improve your presentations immediately. 1. Don't write your presentation, make notes and speak from your heart. 2. Be passionate about your topic, enthusiasm is contagious 3. Be aware of your body language. Don't rock back and forth, be purposeful in your movements. 4. Be conscious of your choice of words, don't use non-words like "um" or "uh" 5. Make eye contract with your audience Remember that your audience wants you to succeed because they have to justify the time they are spending sitting there listening to you. I would recommend that you practice your presentations and make videos of that practice in order to review and improve. Good luck with your presentations. You'll do well.
